Garden Housing
The above design shows the Garden Basement Home.
Due in part to Winston's testimony to HUD engineers on Indian Housing in Washington, DC, HUD agreed this design was one of the best. The house and basement are constructed at the plant and delivered finished to the site. This unique design includes a clear span with no posts in the basement, achieved by the post-tension wood floor on the upper unit. The attached basement garden allows a year round growing environment. This home has a convective heat/cool system. All windows are unbreakable safety glass. This garden style can be added to any of the Winston homes that have basements
